my saddle had been secured to my frame with a bike chain inside an old tube and zip tied shut. even so, it was stolen on market thursday evening 2 weeks back. i posted on craiglist when i got home and let it go. the following saturday a guy wrote me to say his brooks was stolen the same night and was being sold on ebay by someone offering pick up at his home in alamo. sure enough mine was there along with five or six others. if you read this seller's you'll see he only offers only brooks saddles. in fact, since august 1st he has sold 14 of them for a total of $1,159.99. that's just adding up information from people kind enough to leave a comment. he told the inspector that he bought ours from either the laney college or oakland collusium flea markets. if they were stolen on thursday and posted on ebay friday, how did he buy them at the flea market saturday? ebay has been worthless and this guy drove out to alamo and got it back for me on his day off. thanks again inspector danker!

he is amazing. i didn't have to buy it back and had it hand delivered. very cool to go from feeling like i shouldn't even bother reporting the situation to having this guy really dive into it, correct the injustice and confront this bastard. weida hasn't posted any since. i'm going to keep an eye on his pages and post to craigslist when i see he has them on there again.

Hello, though it is many years later, I have had the exact same thing happen to me, with the exact same ebay seller. If possible, I would like to talk to you, in hopes that it might aid the case, and bring a bike thief to justice. I don't see a way to contact you here, so I will leave mine: san francisco area code, three four 9 - one 4 oh 5.

So here we are four years later and Weida's still on eBay making a living selling bicycle seats.

My 18" Rocky Mountain Metropolis with an Alfine 8 rear hub was stolen last month. No sign of it yet, but it's such an unusual bike that I won't be surprised if it shows up somewhere. I'm easy to find on facebook, the only Koert in Ventura.
