AB 580, an important piece of legislation introduced by Assembly Member Adrin Nazarian (D- Studio City, Van Nuys, etc.), would guarantee $75 million per year in state funding to the California Arts Council (CAC). This bill will bring California arts funding up to $2.00 per person, placing California 12th in the nation. California’s nonprofit arts organizations and the communities they serve will benefit immensely from the boost in funding.

AB 580 will have its first hearing on April 9 at 9am before the Assembly Committee on Arts, Entertainment, Sports, Tourism and Internet media.
